Cottonwood Capital Management is a Bozeman, Montana registered investment adviser (RIA) focused on deep research and investing in outstanding public companies. The boutique structure keeps client service high and lets us communicate the work through periodic investment commentaries — twice a year, covering the market or individual names.
Here we turn over a lot of rocks. We concentrate on companies that appear to offer the greatest risk/reward, and we buy them when they look attractively priced. That approach has proven itself through generations of value investors who were paid for patience and discipline.

Andrew McCormick
Managing member
Andrew is the managing member and portfolio manager of Cottonwood. His career began as an investment manager for a small commodity hedge fund. Later he worked at BlackRock within the alternative investment group.
He started Cottonwood Capital Management in 2021 to manage family investment accounts and to concentrate on value investing in (mostly) U.S. public companies — the work he wanted to spend the rest of his career doing.
